This wooden coaster is composed of 4 L shaped elements that have different grain direction and this creates a exciting toning effect on the surface: some elements look brighter, while others look darker, however all the 4 elements + the frame bear the same color (check the photo with the wine). The elements stick together like marquetry pieces.

This piece is laser cut from a 4mm thick plywood board, hand polished, oiled and varnished.
Owing to the naturalness of the wood slight discrepancies in color and pattern may occur compared to the images attached.
