This wooden coaster is shaped like a stylish flower bud as it is about to flourish soon. The elements are placed as a wood inlay in the outer frame. Each element bears different grain direction and this creates a strange shading effect on the surface: some elements look brighter, while other look darker, however all the elements bear the same color.

The pieces of this coaster are laser cut from a 4mm thick plywood board, hand polished, oiled and varnished. Owing to the naturalness of the wood slight discrepancies in color and pattern may occur compared to the images attached.
